Accuracy

All conversions use CODATA 2018 recommended values for physical constants. Linear unit conversions are exact. Context-dependent conversions (such as gas concentration) clearly display all assumptions and allow customization.

Assumptions

  • Temperature conversions use standard offset/scale formulas
  • Photon energy calculations assume vacuum unless refractive index specified
  • RF power calculations default to 50 Ω impedance
  • Gas concentration uses ideal gas law approximation
